Start the Year Feeling Lighter with this Storage Cleanup List
With the New Year right around the corner, now is the perfect time to begin thinking about how to start the new decade feeling lighter. No, we do not mean weight. An easier way to start the new year feeling lighter is with this self-storage cleanup list.
Christmas Decorations
Christmas has come and gone for another year, and it is now time to take down the tree and clean up those decorations. If you have found yourself cluttering your garage with boxes and boxes of Christmas or other seasonal decor, now is the perfect time to instead put it in your storage unit.
Extra Gardening Equipment
Just because Christmas is over and the New Year is upon us does not mean Spring is here. Yet. Do not worry, that will come soon in enough, but in the meantime do you really need all those rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and pots cluttering up your home? Put these away until you will need them in a few months. Oh, and do not forget to also tuck away that sports equipment you aren’t using.
Camping Supplies
Speaking of Spring, Summer is even further away. While we all love to go outdoors and go camping to experience all that British Columbia has to offer, winter is not the time to do it. There is no good reason to keep your home cluttered with camping gear and other summer items. Toss these into storage until you need them again.
Baby or Kids Items
Maybe you have kids or are planning on one day having them? If this is you, you probably already know how much stuff kids bring with them. Whether it’s bins and bins out clothing that has been outgrown, old basinetts or children’s toys, you probably find these cluttering your home. If you aren’t yet ready to part ways with these items, then consider putting them into storage until they are needed.
These are just a few simple suggestions on how to begin the New Year feeling lighter. Whatever you decide to put into storage, know it’ll make extra space in your home.
